Where It All Began – The story of The Park Rooftop Bar & Lounge began when two very different paths crossed.
Gary Su, a nightlife professional from Taipei, spent over 12 years in the bar industry and helped pioneer draft cocktails in Taiwan. His deep knowledge of mixology and hospitality laid the foundation for The Park’s cocktail culture.
Evelyn, an entrepreneur from California, returned to Vietnam with a dream — to bring the creativity, service, and design sensibility she loved in California back home to share with Saigon.
Together, they envisioned a rooftop bar that combined Indochine elegance with modern California style — global in spirit, yet rooted in Vietnamese warmth.
Building The Dream – From concept to construction, the journey was far from easy. We spent months searching for designers, contractors, and vendors who could bring their vision to life. Every step — from lighting tests to furniture selection — came with lessons about communication, craftsmanship, and the reality of building in Vietnam.
Despite the challenges, piece by piece, their dream came alive.
Learning the Vietnam Way – Even with Gary’s experience, opening a bar in Ho Chi Minh City meant starting over. From permits to supplier relationships, everything worked differently. Evelyn quickly adapted, learning how to balance passion with practicality and embracing the rhythm of Vietnam’s business culture.
Together, we refined recipes, trained our team, and learned that success comes from consistency, connection, and care — one cocktail at a time.
